3rd Day of Christmas Free Gift.

The free gift today from iTunes were a selection of songs by Duran Duran called :

Mediterranea

Sunrise

Ordinary World (Live)

I don't think this gift is very good as the younger generation has never heard of them and in my opinion the songs aren't that great either. I guess if you are a bit 'older' and a fan of Duran Duran then this is a very good gift for you.

2nd Day of Christmas Free Gift.

Todays free gift from iTunes is a 'Father Ted Christmas Special'. The Tv Programme is about 55 minutes long. Many Father Ted fans, and people who like Blackadder or Only Fools and Horses, will love this episode.

However, one problem is that this Christmas Special was released originally in 2008. This means many people who want to download this will have already seen it.

In my opinion this episode is very funny but I am not going to keep this on my iPod as it takes up too much space and once I have seen a programme I don't tend to watch it again.

Overall I would give todays free download a... 7/10

1st Day of Christmas Free Gift.

The free gift that Apple have given us today is a 'Cheryl Cole Promise this Christmas Bundle'.

This includes:

1. Promise this (The song).

2. Promise this (The Music Video).

3. On the road with Cheryl Cole. ( This is just a video of her on tour).

Personally I feel this is a very good gift from Apple as this would probably cost about £3-£4. Although, I am not a big fan of Cheryl Cole's music so I chose to download it and put it on my computer but not my iPod itself.

I will keep this going everyday on the 12 Days of Christmas app so keep checking.

12 Days of Christmas.

It's Christmas Eve so I though I would get into the spirit of things and review a Christmas App developed by Apple that is absolutely FREE.

From the 26th of December until the 6th of January you can download a free gift everyday. This can be either a song, app, iBook or movie/tv show that is chosen by Apple. Sometimes the gift can be poor BUT if you don't like the look of it then you don't have to download.

Last year I remember one of the free gifts was an app called 'Lets Golf'. It was a very enjoyable game and at the time it was worth £3.99.

Something new this year is that you can set the app to send you push notifications to remind you when your app is ready to download. Also, it is available for the iPad which wasn't out last year.

Other than that it is pretty much the same as last year :) Only a short review today but I will try and keep them coming throughout the rest of Christmas !

Can't rate out of 10 yet, depends on the quality of free downloads. If it's anything like last years then..

With exams and my iPod away for repairs, and still not returned :@, for the last 3 months I haven't been doing any reviews. I will however be starting again in the next few weeks.
